Castrol India appoints new COO
Castrol Ltd. subsidiary Castrol India Ltd. (Cl) has appointed a new officer, after one top executive’s resignation. Cl said that Naveen Kumar Kshatriya has resigned from his position as the company’s managing director and chief executive officer (CEO). However, he will not be leaving Castrol fully, as he had named Castrol Ltd. UK’s non-executive vice chairman effective May 8 and will also be on the Global Leadership Team for BP Lubricants. The company has yet to announce his replacement. Meanwhile, Cl appointed Ravi Kirpalani as the new chief operating officer and automotive director effective May 1. He had earlier served for four years at Castrol’s United Kingdom office as strategy implementation director for BP’s global lubricants unit. (May 7/12/ June 24, 2009).
