Samuels defends stance of FuelWatch

Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission Graeme Samuels has defended his stance on the Rudd government’s FuelWatch policy, despite a change in position prompted by an inquiry into petrol prices last year. Federal Nationals leader Warren Truss attacked the change in the ACCC position as an extraordinary conversion after the commission’s extensive skepticism of FuelWatch. (June 2, 2008)
