VW opens flagship outlet in Taiwan

Volkswagen AG (VW) opened a new flagship outlet in the Neihu District of Taipei, Taiwan, on February 26, which it will operate in partnership with Taiwanese company Taikoo Motors Ltd. The outlet will be instrumental in VW’s 2009 operations, as the company plans to introduce several car models to the Taiwan market this year, including the high-performance Passat Variant R36, the Scirocco sport coupe, the Passat CC four-door coupe and the sixth-generation Golf. With the renovated Neihu showroom, Taikoo Motors General Manager JB Rae-Smith said they want to “take customer satisfaction to the next level” and “rewrite the standard of automotive ownership experience in sales and services.” (February 27, 2009)
