Sinopec to suspend refined oil exports

China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) has decided to suspend refined oil exports in May in order to ensure oil supply during the Beijing Olympic Games, said Wang Tianpu, president of Sinopec. In addition to the preparations for the Olympic Games in August, the earthquake in Sichuan Province’s Wenchuan County on May 12 also increased the pressure on the company. (May 30, 2008)
