Chevron Philippines to expand retail network

Chevron Philippines Inc., which carries the Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants products, has earmarked Php528 million (US$10.84 million) for capital expenditures this year, primarily to upgrade and expand its retail networks, according to Country Chairman and General Manager for Retail Randy Johnson. Similarly, Chevron is aggressively rolling out the “Caltex Advanced Safety Trucks” or CAST with 21 units already plying Metro Manila thoroughfares from the Pandacan depot. The upgraded trucks, which are equipped with global positioning systems (GPS), have an on-board computer system (OBCS) that stores fuel data, time and distance and display gauges, vehicle message warnings, etc. (March 1, 2007)
