Mission commissions second Malaysian biodiesel plant
Australia’s Mission NewEnergy Ltd. has commissioned its second 250,000 metric ton per year (MTPY) biodiesel plant in the Malaysian port of Kuantan. The company said that test runs had been completed at the new plant and that it had hit nameplate capacity and met all guaranteed performance parameters in the test. The biodiesel produced during the performance test exceeded the European EN14214 specification for biodiesel. Mission is in discussions with its turnkey contractor, KNM Process Systems Sdn Bhd, to finalize transfer of the plant to Mission NewEnergy. (May 30, 2010)
