Qinzhou oil refinery trial operation commences in June

PetroChina’s Qinzhou oil refinery will be put into trial operation at the end of this month and is expected to begin commercial operations around August, a company official said. Qinzhou oil refinery, located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will have a capacity of 201,000 barrels per day, said the administrator. The oil refinery will mainly be used to process oil that PetroChina has sourced overseas. It is expected to supply Southwest China with 7 million tons of gasoline, diesel fuel and aviation fuel per year. (June 15, 2010)
