Chevron Oronite unveils automated warehouse in France

Chevron Oronite has announced the successful completion of a state-of-the-art warehouse at its Gonfreville l’Orcher plant in France. The new facility, designed to store drums and intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), features the latest automation and logistics technology, ensuring compliance with current environmental and safety regulations.

The automated warehouse aims to digitalise the storage and distribution process, providing customers with a seamless experience.

“The objective of this automated warehouse is to provide a fully digitalised experience for our customers, from a scheduled slot pick-up to the truck loadings,” said Samuel Foutel, portfolio project manager, Manufacturing and Supply, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East at Chevron Oronite.

Additionally, Olivier Clavaud, general manager of Manufacturing and Supply, Europe Africa Middle East, Chevron Oronite continued, “Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition with no disruption to our customers’ business operations.”

The warehouse is expected to become operational later this year following the completion of the testing phase.
