Total Lubricants China Marks Its First Use of Electric Vehicle Use in Logistics Services Between Its Plant and Central Warehouse
Zhenjiang, May 20, 2024 – Total Lubricants China (TLC) achieved a significant milestone in sustainable logistics by deploying electric vehicles (EVs) for short-distance transportation between its plant and central warehouse in Zhenjiang. This marks the first instance of EV adoption by Total Lubricants China.
Electric vehicles offer environmental advantages. It is estimated that a single vehicle can reduce its total carbon footprint (TCO2e) by 250 tons over its lifespan, contributing to lower greenhouse gas emissions, healthier living environment.
During the inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony, Mr. Anthony LIU, Managing Director of Total Lubricants China, delivered a speech alongside senior executives from SINOTRANS Logistics Group and SANY Group. In his speech, he emphasized TotalEnergies’ position as a global energy leader and its pioneering spirit in introducing electric vehicles in its businesses in China. This move represents a crucial step towards achieving emission reduction goals and signals the company’s commitment to a more sustainable future.
