Zeller+Gmelin launches new heavy-duty engine oils

Zeller+Gmelin has expanded its Divinol line for commercial vehicles with the introduction of two new heavy-duty engine oils.

The new products, Divinol Multimax LS-FE 5W30 and Divinol Multimax Premium FE 5W20, are engineered to meet the rigorous standards set by vehicle manufacturers. The Divinol Multimax LS-FE 5W30 complies with the API FA-4 specification and has received MB 228.61 manufacturer approval. On the other hand, the Divinol Multimax Premium FE 5W20 has been approved under MAN 3977. These oils are particularly well-suited for high-performance diesel truck engines equipped with turbochargers and exhaust aftertreatment systems.

Andreas Krapf, automotive product manager at Zeller+Gmelin, emphasised the importance of efficiency and sustainability in today’s economy, which the new oils reflect. Formulated with modern low-SAPS technology, these oils contain fewer additives such as sulfur and phosphorus, reducing ash production. This is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of catalytic converters and particulate filters.

The new oils feature reduced High Temperature High Shear (HTHS) viscosity, which enhances fuel economy without sacrificing wear protection, aligning with the global shift towards more sustainable automotive solutions. However, Krapf noted that these oils are not backward compatible with all engines, advising customers to consult technical information to ensure compatibility.

These innovations demonstrate Zeller+Gmelin’s commitment to developing products that not only meet but exceed the evolving needs of the global market, combining performance with environmental responsibility.
