Regina Davis takes the helm at ExxonMobil’s Baton Rouge Refinery
Effective September 1, 2023, Regina Davis will take the helm at ExxonMobil’s Baton Rouge Refinery in the U.S. state of Louisiana as manager. A New Orleans native, Davis boasts an impressive academic and professional trajectory.
Davis embarked on her journey with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University in 1998. Shortly after, in 1999, she initiated her career with ExxonMobil at Chalmette Refining in New Orleans, Louisiana. as a process contact engineer. Over the next decade, she climbed the ranks through various technical and leadership roles. Concurrently, she pursued and secured a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
2008 saw Davis transition to Fairfax, Virginia, U.S.A., with ExxonMobil, where she undertook multiple business roles. By 2012, she had moved to Beaumont Refinery, embracing leadership positions. Her journey continued in 2017 at Strathcona Refinery in Edmonton, Alberta, first as the technical manager, then as operations manager in 2019, and eventually ascending to the role of Strathcona Refinery manager in 2021.
Davis is not just a leader in her professional sphere; she’s a trailblazer in community and talent development. “Being a first-generation college graduate, I’m deeply committed to nurturing the upcoming wave of STEM and manufacturing leaders,” Davis said. Her dedication is evident in her efforts to mentor and foster minority and female talent throughout her career.
In Strathcona, Davis was instrumental in establishing the Women’s Interest Network (WIN) and took on the role of inaugural co-chair for the Women United Initiative under the United Way Alberta Capital Region. She remains actively involved in recruitment, being a part of ExxonMobil’s Louisiana Tech University and National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) recruiting teams.
Outside of her professional commitments, Davis, alongside her husband Ahmad, raises four children aged between 14 and 27. She cherishes family travels, plays an active role in her community church, and ardently supports the New Orleans Saints football team.
