PTT expands EV charging services beyond gas stations
PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR) is expanding its EV charging services beyond PTT stations, with the addition of 24 charging stations at Fashion Island, Terminal21 and The Promenade in Thailand.
With the growing trend of electric vehicles (EV) in Thailand, OR has partnered with LH Mall & Hotel Co., Ltd. and Siam Retail Development Co., Ltd., two nationally-recognized leaders in the shopping center industry, to introduce EV Station PluZ in Fashion Island, The Promenade, and Terminal21 (Asoke, Rama 3, Pattaya, and Korat branches), totaling 24 stations.
The launch of their partnership will create greater convenience for EV users, enabling them to access the EV Station PluZ services while visiting shopping malls.
This partnership represents one of OR’s missions which is to strengthen the integrated energy business for seamless mobility to fulfill the needs of all travelers and to become a leader in the EV ecosystem in the future. Moreover, the collaboration reflects one of OR’s goals which is to achieve a healthy environment by minimizing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the entire business operation as well as enlarging the proportion of clean energy usage by promoting the use of electric vehicles.
The EV charging stations to be installed by OR will offer AC normal charge. Users can avail of the service using the mobile application ‘EV Station PluZ’ with features such as easy booking, payment, and charge history. It is compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems. It is also accessible through https://evstation.pttor.com/. Consumers can also check their car charging status via the application to manage their time more effectively.
Present at the signing ceremony were Prasert Sriuranpong, managing director, LH Mall & Hotel Company Limited and Siam Retail Development Company Limited, and Chumpol Surapittayanont, senior executive vice president, Commercial Marketing, PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited.
Prasert said that Terminal21, Fashion Island, and The Promenade are shopping centers designed to create a joyful experience that goes beyond shopping. In addition to being suitable for all lifestyles, they are places of choice for families to spend their time and share memorable moments.
The installation of EV Station PluZ at all six shopping centers reflect the preference of today’s consumers which is shifting towards electric vehicles as EV users are able to conveniently charge their cars while visiting and enjoying the services available at shopping malls.
