Euro Oil announces launch of Proton Genuine Oil in Pakistan

Euro Oil announced the launch of Proton Genuine Oil (PGO) specifically designed for use in Proton vehicles in Pakistan. Proton, a Malaysian automotive company based in Shah Alam, Selangor Malaysia, is majority owned by DRB Hicom, one of Malaysia’s leading corporations, and China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (49.9%).

Proton Genuine Oil is produced by Petronas Lubricants International and marketed in Pakistan by Euro Oil, the exclusive distributor of Petronas Lubricants in Pakistan. Euro Oil is headquartered in Lahore, Pakistan. The company also operates two fuel retail sites in Pakistan.

The carmaker announced the launch of the lubricants, ranging from mineral, to semi-synthetic and fully synthetic to semi-synthetic, lubricants formulated exclusively for Proton vehicles. These engine oils, which are available in different viscosity level lubricants, are available in both API SP and SN categories. The products are sold at 35 authorised Proton dealerships in Pakistan.

Present at the recent product launch held at the Royal Swiss Hotel in Lahore were Mustafa Burak Isildak, market manager and sales director, PETRONAS Middle East and Turkey; Sohail Ahmed, COO, Euro Oil; Usman Shami, director, Euro Oil; and, Ibad Jamal, director, Marketing & Sales, Al-Haj Automotive.

Al-Haj Automotive Pvt. Ltd, is the assembler and distributor of Proton vehicles in Pakistan.

Globally, Petronas Lubricants, which is part of Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) has been the fluid partner of Proton since 1989.
