Volvo to localize S80 production

Volvo China will localize production of its flagship model, the Volvo S80, in China in the first half of 2009, Chief Executive Officer Alexander Klose told the sixth Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, adding that this would allow them to cater to the needs of the Chinese market. He disclosed that the locally made S80, also named the S80L, will be 10 cm longer than the prototype, and that Volvo would introduce more new models to China. (November 24, 2008)
