Evonik Produces Interactive Storage and Handling Brochure

HORSHAM, PA — The Oil Additives specialists from Evonik have produced a new interactive brochure containing recommendations and guidelines designed to aid customers in the storage and handling of its VISCOPLEX® and VISCOBASE® products.

“Safety is a top priority for Evonik and its customers. With that in mind, Evonik’s Oil Additives team created a brochure focused on storage and handling guidelines to further ensure the health and safety of our customers,” said David Siwinski, Evonik’s Oil Additives global supply chain manager.

The guidelines assist customers using VISCOPLEX® and VISCOBASE® products with information provided on the following topics:

  • Container availability and weight
  • Storage and shelf life conditions
  • Health and safety information, including availability of Safety Data Sheets for all products
  • Recommendations for handling the clean-up of spills and leaks
  • Bulk handling recommendations during the transport and transfer of products
  • Unloading checklists for maximum efficiency and safety
  • Drum handling, including recommended Personal Protection Equipment when handling hot drums
  • Recommended heating conditions and temperatures for storage and handling

The brochure contains recommendations and guidelines that should be used in conjunction with a site’s regulatory compliance and safety and health programs.
