HomeServe USA to Present Session Exploring How Water Companies Navigate Today’s Challenges at 2017 AWWA Annual Conference & Exposition
NORWALK, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–HomeServe
USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency repair
solutions, today announced its participation at the 2017 American Water
Works Association’s (AWWA) Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE17) from
June 12-14 in Philadelphia, Pa. For the fourth consecutive year,
HomeServe will be serving as Opening General Session sponsor. The 2017
Opening General Session will feature legends from within the industry –
three veteran water utility leaders that will discuss the challenges
they have experienced over their careers and share the insights they
have gathered over the years. The panel session will feature William
Stowe, CEO and General Manager, Des Moines Water Works, Susan McCormick,
CEO, Great Lakes Water Authority and Carla Reid, CEO and General
Manager, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. Reid will also be at
HomeServe’s ACE17 exhibit booth (#1401) following the session, from
10:15-10:45 a.m. ET.
HomeServe will also present the session “Not Your Parents’ Water
Company: What Next-Generation Providers do to Meet Customer Needs”
on Tuesday, June 13 from 10-11:30 a.m. ET. The session will feature a
series of presentations where experts will discuss how water utilities
are evolving to address today’s challenges – which include the
increasingly critical issue of aging infrastructure, as well as the
changing aspects of customer service and communications. The
presentation will take place in Room 116 in the Pennsylvania Convention
Center, under the ACE17 Professional Program “Distribution System
Management & Operation” Track.
“Not Your Parents’ Water Company: What Next-Generation Providers do
to Meet Customer Needs” will feature speakers including Shaun
Pietig, Manager, Distribution Engineering, WaterOne, Kelley Dearing
Smith, Vice President, Communications & Marketing, Louisville Water
Company and Jeffrey Raymond, Chief, Division of Communications and
Community Affairs, Baltimore City Department of Public Works. The panel
of experts will take questions during a Q&A portion that will end the
session.
“How water companies navigate the road ahead cannot just be based on
industry experiences from decades past – the landscape has significantly
changed thanks to evolving customers, evolving technologies and the
looming concerns of America’s aging infrastructure,” said Tom Rusin,
CEO, HomeServe USA. “Serving as supportive advisors to our partners in
the water utility industry has remained an important component in our
efforts to deliver the best possible service to our partners and
ultimately, to homeowners. We look forward to creating a forum for
discussion and shared solutions to address these and other issues the
future holds at ACE17 with our industry colleagues.”
