1. What is the difference between the Asia-Pacific Base Oil, Lubricant & Grease Conference and the Annual Fuels & Lubes Asia Conference?
   The Asia-Pacific Base Oil, Lubricant & Grease Conference is focused on lubricating base oils, fully formulated lubricating oils, waxes and greases, whereas the Annual Fuels & Lubes Asia Conference covers transportation fuels, as well as automotive and industrial lubricants, specialty products including metalworking fluids, waxes, greases, coolants and petroleum additives. Papers presented at the Asia-Pacific Base Oil, Lubricant & Grease Conference are more market-oriented, whereas papers presented at the Annual Fuels & Lubes Asia Conference are more technical in nature.
2. Our company would like to present a paper about our new product. Can we present a purely commercial paper?
   Yes, we allow purely commercial presentations in the commercial session.
3. What is your paper review process?
   The abstracts that are submitted to us are reviewed by our conference advisory board, who then recommend which papers shall be accepted for oral presentation. The full presentation is then reviewed by our editorial department to ensure that the presentation conforms to our conference template and format. In a few cases, we have requested authors to revise his/her paper for this reason. Sometimes, a member of the advisory board may request some revisions as well.
4. If my paper is accepted for oral presentation, do I have a choice of not making my presentation available in the conference proceedings?
   Yes. Each author is required to sign a copyright disclaimer. Should the author prefer not to sign the disclaimer, we will not include his or her paper in the conference proceedings.
5. Do you have an exhibition at the conference?
   Yes. One of the benefits of our corporate sponsorships is a tabletop exhibit.
6. Do you allow hospitality suites at the conference?
   Yes we do, but their operating hours should not coincide with the technical program.
7. Do you have special group rates?
   Yes. We do offer discounts based on the regular registration fee to groups. Our group discounts are 5% for two to five persons from the same company; 7% for six to nine persons from the same company, and; 10% for 10 persons and above. A single wire transfer payment must be made to avail of the group discount.
8. How does your early-bird discount work?
   Payment must be received within the early-bird period, which ends on December 28, 2011 for the discount to apply.
9. If I am attending the conference either as a speaker or as a participant, can my spouse join the social activities?
   Yes, your spouse is most welcome to join our social activities in the evening. For spouses, we offer a special rate of US$100 per social activity.
10. Can we avail of the special hotel room rate even if we are not attending the conference?
    No, sorry, but we only book a limited number of rooms under the specially contracted rate, so we can only accommodate conference participants and speakers.
